Job: Pharmacy student

Max's name has been changed for privacy, but his story remains the same.

Over two years into his pharmacy degree, Max was preparing to start a new placement in a local hospital in Bath. Placements weren't new to Max. He'd already experienced small, close-knit pharmacies as well as large hospitals, so it's safe to say he felt prepared 💼.

Just weeks before the placement was set to start, the hospital contacted Max's university to explain that they had discovered adverse content on his YouTube channel. In Max's "liked videos", there were several clips with sexually explicit references.

Max was taken aback; he hadn't used this YouTube channel since secondary school, and he certainly didn't remember liking these videos. Concerned that other old profiles could be out there with forgotten content, Max got in touch with right2socials for a Social Media Check and access to exclusive resources 🛡️.

Equipped with fresh knowledge into social media and a brand-new Social Digital Record (SDR), Max then reached out to the local hospital, who were happy to continue with the placement.

"In lectures, they'd told us to expect Social Media Checks at director level, but I didn't realise they were being routinely carried out on all staff. Even placement students! It's a lesson learnt, and I'll be telling future placements to get their Social Digital Record checked at the earliest opportunity."
